뮤지션으로 팀 버튼의 영화음악을 작사, 작곡하였으며, 싱어송라이터로 활동중이다. 아카데미어워드에 세 번 노미네이트 되었고, 팀 버튼의 <Batman> 음악으로 그래미어워드를 수상하였고, <Desperate Housewives> 음악으로 에미어워드를 수상하였다.
