일탈하고 싶었는데 시원하고 기분 좋은 넘 즐거운 공연이었습니다~윈터플레이 홧팅~^^

넘넘 새롭고 즐거웠던 공연이였습니다~

Winterplay, a korean jazz group, played a great set on a cruise ship on the han river last night. They played several of their recognizable hits and had the crowd sing along. The cruise concert had a buffet as well and the band led off shortly after the ship left dock. They played a short opening set and then took a break for everyone to have the buffet style dinner. The food was excellent and right about as we were finishing up the band got back on stage and started up again. The setlist was well timed to match up with the cruise length. However, there was a special guest who showed up mid way through. Lee Hui-jae came in dressed as Santa Claus and handed out several presents to members of the crowd. Obviously, knowing about santa''s arrival the band jumped to a christmas song right before Santa came on board. The band got things back going again after ''Santa'' spoke for a few mintues and they really shined with a jazzed up rendition of Billie Jean from Michael Jackson. As the boat neared the dock the band finished their setlist and the chants of ''anchor'' came out, which I thought was particularly amusing as we were on a boat and the Korean mispronouciation of encore sounded just like the thing that keeps boats from floating away. Winterplay obliged and played another couple of songs and when the boat took a bit longer than expected to tie up to the dock they played their catchy Happy Bubble song again. It was a great all around experience.

크루즈 여행과 콘서트를 결합한 한국 최초의 공연이었습니다. 윈터플레이는 예정된 18곡을 열정적으로 마쳤을 뿐만 아니라 앵콜곡으로 3곡을 관객들에게 선사하였습니다. 혜원님의 감미로운 보컬, 이주한님의 깔끔한 진행과 열정적인 트럼펫 연주 그리고 뮤지션(베이스: 김성수, 퍼커션: 김정균, 기타: 현용선, 드럼: 신동진, 코러스: 최재원)의 연주가 환상적으로 조화를 이루었습니다.

특별 게스트로 이휘재씨가 산타 복장을 하고 나와 깜짝 인사와 함께 깜짝 선물을 관객들에게 나누어 주었습니다. 저도 그 선물 하나를 받았습니다. 선물을 유니클로 남성 히트텍과 크리스마스 싱글 앨범이 들어 있었습니다.

공연 준비를 위하여 세심하게 준비된 점이 너무 좋았습니다. 행복공화국(Republic of S. T. L)의 여권과 윈터플레이 볼펜이 준비되었고, 화장실 등에 행복공화국 헌법이 게시되어 있었습니다.

유람선을 타고 한강을 지나가는 광경도 무척 좋았고, 뷔페음식도 푸짐했고, 맛도 매우 좋았습니다.

윈터플레이의 다음 공연이 기대됩니다. 공연을 마치고 3집앨범을 구입하였습니다. 윈터플레이가 더욱 많은 분들에게서 호응을 얻기를 기대합니다.
