멕시코계 미국 여배우, 가수. 그녀는 TV 드라마시리즈 <Grey’s Anatomy>에 캘리 토레스 역으로 출연하면서 알려진 배우이다.
멕시코 마자트란, 시날로아 출생. 라메리즈는 8살 때 그녀의 어머니와 캘리포니아 샌 디에고로 이사왔으며, 샌 디에고에서 학교를 다녔다. 뉴욕의 줄리어드 스쿨을 졸업하였고, 여배우의 스킬을 키워나갔다.
그녀는 폴 사이먼의 뮤지컬 <The Capeman, 1998>에 출연하면서 브로드웨이에 데뷔하였다. 1999년 <The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, 1999>에 출연하였으며 비평가협회 어워드에 노미네이트 되었다. 이후 <Classic Act, 2001>, <Dreamgirls Concert, 2001>, <The Vagina Monologues> 에 출연하였다.
그녀는 <Grey’s Anatomy>에 의사 캘리 토레스 역을 맡아 2006년부터 출연하였다.
