조나단 프라이스는 배우, 가수로 활동 중이다. 로얄연극아카데미를 졸업하였고, 1974년 셰익스피어 작품 <Hamlet>에 출연하였고, 남우주연상을 수상하였다. 1985년 테리 길리암의 컬트 영화 <Brazil>에 주연으로 출연하였다.

<Evita>, <Tomorrow Never Dies>, <Pirates of the Caribbean>, <The New World>, <Glengarry Glen Ross>, <Carrington> 등에 출연하였으며, 1977년 브로드웨이 데뷔작인 <Comedians>로 토니어워즈 남우주연상을 수상하였고, 1991년 <Miss Saigon>에서 엔지니어로 출연하여 토니상을 수상하였다.

영국 웨일스주 플린트셔 출생. 로얄 드라마틱 아트 아카데미, 로얄 셰익스피어 컴퍼니에서 연기수업을 받았으며, 그는 영화, 뮤지컬, 연극 등에서 많은 활약을 보였다. 1980년 <Hamlet>으로 올리비에 어워즈 남우주연상을 수상하였다. 영화는 1972년 <Doomwatch>로 데뷔하였으며, <Brazil>, <Evita>, <Stigma>, <De-Lovely>, <G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra>가 그의 대표작이다.
